A “Vote out National” facebook page has 19,000 fans and an election night drinking games has been shared 144 times.

There are at least three Facebook events online that encourage voters to “Vote out National”, “Do not vote for National” and “Throw stones at those voting National”, also known as National Stoning Day.

Event creator Brendan Smith said, “Grab some stones and head down to your local polling station and let loose on those hopeless National supporters. Make them see change. Stone them and show them the way! Time for a better, greener NZ. Everyone get Stoning!”

A facebooker has asked if this event is a joke, to which Mr Smith replied, “No. Its an actual event. Happens every three years.”

Another facebooker said, “I already have my rocks prepared. I’m getting a boulder for John Key.”

NewsWire has not been able to find any anti-Labour events on Facebook.

TV3 program ‘Wannaben’ has posted a 2011 Election night drinking game on Facebook (pictured).

Two hundred people like it and 144 have shared it.
